Bremerton - An enviable place to live, work, and play.  Friendly people, affordable housing, award-winning schools, resident activism, and innovative leadership.  Bremerton is a great city and as your mayor I plan on working to make it even better!

I envision a Bremerton where East meets West and all the space in between is teaming with vitality.

Our former Mayor has rebuilt and revitalized Bremerton’s gateway and downtown core.  We now need to fill the office space and living space with people and businesses.

We still need to provide for health, safety and well being of all our citizens, from Manette to Rydell and Perry Avenue to West Park and include all neighborhoods in the advancement of Bremerton’s new look and growth.

This means education and training of our workforce.

Growing jobs in the newly annexed South Kitsap Industrial area.

Utilizing the Port of Bremerton’s Marina expansion and economic development authority under their charter.

Working with existing agencies and volunteer groups to better the lives of half our population.

From Breakfast at Sally’s, picnicking in our parks or dining in our restaurants, we have a diverse population that lives in Bremerton.

Now that we have a pedestrian friendly downtown, we need pedestrians.  We need jobs, we need a better scheduled ferry service and road transportation that services the growth and
allows for this vision to be realized for all. 

My plan is to collaborate with the citizens and the city council members of each of the nine districts, enable the unity of one Bremerton to foster continued growth and vitality, and still maintain diversity in each neighborhood.

Dear Editor [Kipsap Sun],
I want to urge Bremerton voters to vote for Patty Lent for mayor.

My family has owned commercial buildings in downtown Bremerton for generations and we have been very involved with local business and the creation of jobs for our community. We can all remember when Bremerton was the center of local business and downtown was thriving. Much has been done over the last eight years to restore Bremerton's place in the economy, but downtown buildings have to be filled with more business. We need to expand existing local businesses and attract new businesses to the area.

To accomplish this, we need Patty as mayor. She knows how to market our city and work in the private sector to make Bremerton a hub of the new global green economy. She will bring revenue and jobs from around the world.

The choice for Mayor is clear. Both candidates are qualified to mange the city, but only one candidate will go to work immediately filling our city with thriving business and growing the local economy.
